Welcome to Mansarovar Muslim Welfare Society : A Place of Worship, Community, and Learning"

In the Quran, Islam is described as “surrender” or “submission” to the will of God. This is reflected in the Arabic word for Islam, which comes from the root word “aslama,” meaning “to submit” or “to surrender.”

The Quran is considered to be the literal word of Allah as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.

It contains many messages and teachings for humanity, including guidance on how to lead a righteous and fulfilling life. Here are a few examples of what Allah says in the Quran:

Connection with Allah: Prayer is a means of establishing and maintaining a strong connection with Allah. It is a direct line of communication between the worshipper and the Creator, through which one can seek guidance, forgiveness, and blessings. In Surah Al-Ma’arij, verse 5-6, Allah says: “So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief. Verily, with every difficulty, there is relief. Therefore, when you are free (from your immediate task), still labor hard.” This connection helps Muslims to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of their faith

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also emphasized the importance of education and learning. Here are a few of his teachings on education:

  1. “Seeking knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)

  2. “The ink of the scholar is more sacred than the blood of the martyr.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi)
